This is a book I have been meaning to read for ages and I'm so glad I finally did! This book is so funny and i think children would love joining in with the book as the same ideas and phrases are repeated on every page with the addition of a new phrase each time。 This would be a great read-aloud book in a KS1 classroom。 100% recommend。 This is a book I have been meaning to read for ages and I'm so glad I finally did! Not sure what all the laughter is about。 Between mildly amusing rhyming words and ableism, this one didn't do it for me。 Not sure what all the laughter is about。 Between mildly amusing rhyming words and ableism, this one didn't do it for me。 。。。more

I loved this book! It is very funny and I got it for a friend of mine’s children when he got a job at the Donkey Sanctuary (it’s an NGO - supporting livelihood generation of communities)。

I reserve the word "hate" for the most horrible situations, but this word applies here。 This has to be among the very worst books I have ever, ever read。 It is simple gross how it is supposed to be "laugh out loud funny" when it's about a "wonky" donkey who is "wonky" because he has a prosthetic leg, and "winky" because he has only one eye。 Read that to a kid with a missing limb or in a wheel chair or blind and see how that goes。。。。go ahead, I'm waiting。。。Just sick。 That is not funny。 Want to ca I reserve the word "hate" for the most horrible situations, but this word applies here。 This has to be among the very worst books I have ever, ever read。 It is simple gross how it is supposed to be "laugh out loud funny" when it's about a "wonky" donkey who is "wonky" because he has a prosthetic leg, and "winky" because he has only one eye。 Read that to a kid with a missing limb or in a wheel chair or blind and see how that goes。。。。go ahead, I'm waiting。。。Just sick。 That is not funny。 Want to call those same kids by those lovely nicknames: Wonky and Winky? Super。 This is the worst book ever。 Insensitive and gross。 Absolutely NOT funny at all。 The team who created this book should be ashamed of themselves。 Granted it was 12 years ago, but please, have things changed THAT much since then? 。。。more

In this very funny, cumulative song, each page tells us something new about the donkey until we end up with a spunky, hanky-panky cranky stinky dinky lanky honky-tonky winky wonky donkey, which will have children in fits of laughter! There is much fun to be had by listening to the song and trying to predict the new word for each clue given!

The Wonky Donkey is such a fun book to read with children。 It is also a great beginning book for young children to read because of the rhyming words that are used。 This book even has its own song to go along with the reading which can be so fun for your children。 Definitely give this book a read with your children to help better their understanding of reading。

This is one of my favorite books of all time, it is a very fun and easy going read。 The rhyming words in this story give it a nice flow。 I would read this to a classroom or to my future kids one day。 I thought the illustrations and descriptions made the story more enjoyable and funny。

I actually really love the rhyming and word play of this book, but don't feel great about laughing at the 3 legged, 1 eyed donkey。 Plus my husband was horrified by the eye-plucking imagery。 I actually really love the rhyming and word play of this book, but don't feel great about laughing at the 3 legged, 1 eyed donkey。 Plus my husband was horrified by the eye-plucking imagery。 。。。more

I normally get bored by this sort of thing partway through, but the wordplay is fun and fun to read/say。 I haven't heard the song yet! I normally get bored by this sort of thing partway through, but the wordplay is fun and fun to read/say。 I haven't heard the song yet! 。。。more

A fantastic concept with quality art。 The adjective overload for the donkey is delightful。 Unfortunately, the rest of book is repetitive (which can be OK) but it doesn't flow very well, to the point that it gets in the way over and over again。Silly and borderline profane, in a good way。All in all, a decent read but not quite as rereadable as I'd like。 A fantastic concept with quality art。 The adjective overload for the donkey is delightful。 Unfortunately, the rest of book is repetitive (which can be OK) but it doesn't flow very well, to the point that it gets in the way over and over again。Silly and borderline profane, in a good way。All in all, a decent read but not quite as rereadable as I'd like。 。。。more

This book is simply fun。 I can see it as a perfect class read aloud that both students and teachers can enjoy and find humor in。 Children will enjoy the story itself。 The author uses engaging tactics such as fun language and a sequential pattern throughout the story。 I could really see children getting super involved and chanting along with the teacher as they figure out the pattern。 The illustrations in this book only get better as the story g0es on and the donkey adds more traits to his charac This book is simply fun。 I can see it as a perfect class read aloud that both students and teachers can enjoy and find humor in。 Children will enjoy the story itself。 The author uses engaging tactics such as fun language and a sequential pattern throughout the story。 I could really see children getting super involved and chanting along with the teacher as they figure out the pattern。 The illustrations in this book only get better as the story g0es on and the donkey adds more traits to his character。 There is always something new and funny added that children will certainly notice。 I would recommend this book for younger students。 I feel that they will engage with the book more and find the language more fun。 They will find the characteristics of the donkey funny because they are not typical of a normal donkey。 。。。more

It was cute & rhyming, but the fascination is in large part due to the video with the lady reading it to her grandson and not because the book itself is a 5。

HIlarious:) A lot had to do with the delightful Scottish Granny reading to her grandson of course and having such a laugh while doing so, but made it enjoyable then!
